Technical Application Specialist

Enterprise IT & Operations are responsible for ensuring that our IT systems in production work optimally and meet the requirements for, but not limited to, security, performance, and stability. From hardware and operating systems to databases and IT applications. 

More about the role 
As a Technical Application Specialist in the Revenue team, you are part of a team of nine committed and friendly co-workers. Our main area of ​​responsibility is the IT applications for mediation, rating, invoicing, payment, and debt collection. Your task is to monitor the systems performance and security, handle alarms, and troubleshoot any problems. In addition, you will analyze, and resolve received error reports and incidents within this area. The role includes a one-week on-call during evenings and weekends, approximately six times a year. 

Our IT environment primarily uses Red Hat Linux as the OS and Oracle for databases.

More about you 
To thrive in the role, we believe you have a burning interest in IT and a curiosity to learn something new every day. You can quickly familiarize yourself with in-depth technical details to then convey the core of the message in an educational way to internal users who work with the customer. You have a few years of experience with a similar role, and you are used to communicating in English. 

Regarding technical knowledge, you need experience with Linux OS, SQL, and preferably shell script programming and Python.
